Why Your Pediatric Dentist Recommends Brushing Your Teeth Between Classes

Posted .

There are many things you can do to achieve the strong, healthy and top-notch smile you want and deserve. One of those things is brushing your teeth at school. Our dentist, Dr. Austin Bowden, recommends brushing your teeth at school because it can help you prevent tooth decay, maintain a healthy smile and even avoid embarrassing incidents when food is stuck between your teeth. So, try to brush after lunch when you’re at school. To make the task easier, he recommends doing the following things:

-Buy an extra toothbrush and tube of toothpaste and keep them in your backpack or locker. Having these tools handy can make brushing your teeth easier and more convenient. After lunch, you can take a quick visit to the restroom and brush those chompers!

-Remind yourself to brush. You can do so by setting an alarm on your phone, writing on a sticky note and sticking it to the book you use for class, or even asking a friend to remind you. As long as you remember to brush, your smile is in good hands!
