Dr Alarcon joined our office
in 2009. She has been happily treating patients ever since. She
specializes in making children feel comfortable during their dental
visits and making sure their parents are happy with the results.
Dr Cristina Alarcon was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She studied
General Dentistry in
University of Guadalajara, Mexico. She then obtained her first
specialty in Orthodontics in Mexico City, Mexico. After practicing for a
few years she moved to the US to earn her second specialty,
Pediatric Dentistry, at the University of Connecticut. Shortly after
graduating, she
moved to Maryland where she taught Pediatric Dentistry at the University
of Maryland.
Also at this time she was treating underprivileged children at a
pediatric dental clinic
at the Eastern Shore. After five years, she met Dr Bowden and has
worked with him in our office ever since.
Dr Alarcon is married and has a son.
